This is probably one of the most scenic overlooks I have ever been to! There is also a hiking trial and a cool sign near it. It has many info signs that lets you learn while looking at the scenic mountains in the George Washington & Jefferson National Forest. It has some free parking nearby and it is not too busy at all.

Awesome overlook right off the road. A great place to stop and enjoy the view. Also interpretive signs give the history of the toll road decades ago
The view was perfect. Very beautiful and scenic. Because it’s so high in elevation it’s breezy, which actually felt good. It’s very quiet and peaceful.

Loved the hike – good trail and perfect combo of accent grass trail minimal rocks at loop on top, and the lookout up top was a nice bonus. The trail is approx 2.4 miles and is well marked, many plant species are also pointed out with little placards. I’d consider this a hidden gem and perfect if you’ve been driving long and need a stretch.
