The trail is less trafficked, making it perfect for those looking to enjoy nature and avoid the crowds. With various trail options accessible from multiple entry points, including one across from Campground 1, Bolar Loop Trail provides a versatile outdoor experience for every two- and four-legged adventurer.
Awesome hike with multiple options! The best spot to enter is across from campground 1. Hike up Bolar Loop to 2 different island overlooks. The fire road across from picnic area parking lot is a shorter easier hike but less scenic. We took the Sugar Loop trail back down from Twin Island Overlook. it was a surprisingly great trail through the woods

A very fun trail that really gets the heart pumping. Only down fall is it not being a well traversed trail hence walking through a spider web about every 5 seconds. But that doesn’t detract from the trail still being very well maintained with some great overlooks and elevation gains!
