Waretown Dog Park on James Drive is a welcoming, community-loved spot for local dog owners. Known for its safe, clean, and well-maintained environment, this dog park in Waretown, New Jersey, provides a wonderful place for pets to exercise and play. The park features a securely fenced area with a fence buried into the ground, so even the smallest dogs can enjoy off-leash fun without worry. Visitors appreciate the friendly, responsible community of regulars and the extra touches—like donated toys and water bowls—that make everyone feel at home.
Dog owners rave about the park’s accessibility, as both the entrance and parking lot are wheelchair accessible. Soft sand underfoot provides comfort for running and playing pups, while waste bags and clean-up stations help keep the park pristine. With separate sections for large and small dogs, even tiny pups and their bigger friends can play and socialize safely. The nearby pet-friendly trails at Wells Mills State Park offer extra options for dog-friendly hiking right up the road.
What a lovely place to take your dogs to play. The owners are responsible and friendly. There are balls left from people, so dogs can play. I suggest bringing water. There are already bowls, ” donated.” Our dogs had so much fun. It makes me happy to watch them enjoy themselves.
Especially if you want them to run around freely with other dogs without worry. People here are really nice and they bring extra water for all dogs to show. Just bring extra water for your dogs to return the favor.
Best place ever for your best fur friend! Everyone is respectful and friendly and the dogs have a blast! They love being able to run “free” and they definitely get their exercise! We love being able to meet new people and new pups! Thank you to everyone who made this place what it is! Fantastic!
My Stevie loves it there, almost always guaranteed to have a friend there and the park itself has fun things to explore and walk. My dogs always have fun there or right up the road at wells mills state park
My first time here with my two Littles and it was clean and safe. I was worried my 5lb. Yorkie might slip through the fencing somewhere but, no worries. The fence appears to be buried into the ground so that the dogs cannot dig out and no large gaps. (He’s SO tiny). The Littles had a fun time and the itty bitty had a crush on a female Husky on the other side of the fence in the big dog side. So cute!
I brought my own toy and water bowl but forgot my poop bags on my other leash! No worries, they have bags there thank God! It’s clean with soft sand. Going back!
