It’s a quiet and beautiful place. If you love lotus flowers, you should definitely visit—the pond is full of blossoms gently swaying in the breeze.
The walk around the pond is 1.86 miles. Dirty, overgrown. The pond looks dead with over grown vegetation and too many water fowl. Grassy areas are nothing but bird poop. Doesn’t look like the town has spent any money in years maintaining this park. Depressing and sad. Groups of rude kids hanging about, one 12 year old flippently asked me if I liked porn. Skip this place.

Perfect for quiet walk
No parking lot. You must park on merrick road. The path is narrow, but we’ll black topped. As you go north, the trail connects to a longer trail system that extends further north. Otherwise, turn right and loop back around the pond back down to Merrick road. There is a nice gazebo on the southern edge of the pond at Merrick road.
I’ve had a really good time during my first visit here today. The lotus flowers are absolutely gorgeous in August. And there are so many birds. This place is a GEM.
