Sherburne Park is a popular dog park in Walworth, New York, offering pet-friendly trails and a variety of amenities for both two- and four-legged visitors. The park features a looped trail system with educational markers about local trees and multiple recreational spaces, making it a favorite spot for dog-friendly hiking and nature walks. The easy-to-navigate trails are beloved by locals for their scenic beauty, and there’s an observation deck near a picnic shelter for relaxing after a walk.
For dog owners, the highlight is the newly added enclosed dog park, where dogs can run and socialize off-leash safely. The park is equipped with waste stations, water fountains for both people and pets, a playground for children, a picnic area with grills and benches, and plenty of parking. With shaded areas and beautiful open spaces, Sherburne Park creates a comfortable environment for families and their canine companions to enjoy the outdoors together.
Loved this place. Dog park, playground and a grill w/ benches as well.
The only issue is not restroom, you can’t spent a lot of time without a restrom.
I’ve been twice to walk my little dog on the trails. Its beautiful BUT both times I’ve dealt with large dogs off their leash. As a single woman walking a little 8 lb dog, it can be intimidating or at times down right scary to have large dogs come running at you full speed! PLEASE DOG OWNERS, KEEP YOUR DOG ON A LEASH SO ALL DOGS CAN ENJOY! If you want them to run loose, there is a new enclosed park made just for dogs literally at this facility.
The path goes all around the outside of the park and my dogs love it. There is a small playground there and water fountain for people and dogs. Nice picnic area.
Lovely small park and trail. Trail is one big loop around the park with two additional looped trails at either end that bring you back to the original big looped trail. The entire trail system has multiple markers for different trees and what the wood from the trees are used for.
The trail markers could use some TLC. But the trail itself is easy to traverse.
The observation deck is near the picnic shelter.
Nice park. Baseball diamond, soccer field, plenty of parking. Commonly people take their dogs here. They have open leash here, so dogs can run around. Do-do bags drop offs are available. No criminals here, but I would bring pepper spray for the dogs. One port a potty here.
