FAQ for Punk Smith Park in Walker Louisiana:
Great park. Clean. Clean bathrooms. Great safe place!!
Great place to bring your kids, not good for bathroom breaks, theres no locks on the bathroom doors, the park usually gets cleaned weekly, most birthday parties are on weekends. Dogs are allowed if they are on a collar and leash. Free to enter, free doggy bags, big yard to play in, kid friendly playground, the area and neighborhood is nice. The park is usually packed on weekends and after 3-4 pm on work days (usually) they close at 8:30 pm. Theres no water fountains, so you have to bring your own drinks and food. Overall, nice park, decent upkeep.
The playground area can get and stay pretty muddy after it rains, not a big deal if you’re prepared though. Watch out for roots pushing up the walkway. Other than that really, for what and where it is it’s nice enough. It’s usually pretty clean and there are a couple of covered tables to sit at. No more drinking fountain but there are male and female bathrooms, they’re usually pretty clean as well. And I’m sure I’m not the only parent that appreciates the area is fully enclosed by fencing. It’s also dog friendly as long as you leash and pick up after your dog. We’ve never seen any presents left behind in the large grassy area.
I like the fact about this part that it has a fence all the way around it and it’s small enough to where you can sit and watch your child play. And see who comes in and out of the one gate that they have. Small park with a walkway all the way around and threw it in case you want to do some walking while your child plays or just if you would like to do some extra walking. Nice smile park. They have picnic tables for birthday parties are picnics.
It was very nice clean and all of the playground equipment was in very good shape and challenging the children had a great time they also have covered picnic tables and a sidewalk around the park water fountains restroom over all on a scale of 1 to 10 I’d rate it as a 10
