FAQ for Ho’oko Park in Waikoloa Village Hawaii:
Clean, quiet and well maintained playground for kids. After playing in there for 30 minutes or so, I went to few corners of the kids play area! It smelled different, then I noticed dog poop and pee close to the entry area. This experience is not going to change my respect for people behind keeping this place well maintained. But keeping it clean is part of the everyone visits. Hope the dog owners supervise most trustworthy animals on the planet, clean up after they poop and let them pee outside the play area. Or there is lot of unused wild grass area along the play ground. Please let them use that space for their needs and come back to play with kids.If you noticed any changes in the play ground smell, give a thumbs up.
Restrooms, large playground area with spaced out play structures and swings for kids to run around and play. Covered picnic area in the playground and restrooms and view of the ocean. Baseball and soccer fields too. We were there for 3 hours and didn’t see any other kids and few visitors. Great park to let the kids out to play if you are traveling through the area with Keiki. Very windy.
The baseball field(s) are nothing special to say the least. They are definitely used for coach pitch / t ball leagues or practices. All we went to do there was throw and it worked fine. The only bad thing is that it is on saint augustine grass so the ball dies as soon as it hits the ground. I don’t know if Bermuda is unpopular here or not but if it is they should really look into putting down some Bermuda sod.
Great multi sport park! There are Softball, baseball, soccer, frisbee, lacrosse, and rugby space open for the public. The playground is fair, the conditions are not the best, but the compensate in space, it’s very large in comparison to other playgrounds around. The restrooms are clean, whoever I could not find a hookup for electricity anywhere in the premises, so I wouldn’t suggest long celebrations over there.Overall, it’s a great park with amazing view to the north shore of the Big Island.
Beautiful park, one of three located in Waikoloa Village. It’s located at the dead end after Waikoloa School and the church. The community & Church did a wonderful job repainting the playground. Wonderful park that has a baseball field, huge grassy area and a Keiki park with a beautiful pavilion, public restrooms and a small gazebo all with table benches.
