Wheeler Dog Park in Wahiawa, Hawaii, is a compact, welcoming spot for local pups and their owners seeking a dog-friendly outlet. Known for its fenced-in space and separate sections for small and large dogs, it offers a safe, off-leash environment for dogs to socialize and play. The park is praised for its well-kept grass, reinforced fencing, and regular maintenance. While the water fountain can be unreliable, owners can bring their own water or use a nearby public restroom to fill up bowls.
Visitors highlight the friendly community, the handful of shade-providing trees, benches, and agility equipment which keep dogs entertained. While Wheeler Dog Park isn’t the largest facility, its tidy lawn, seating areas, and available waste stations make it a convenient stop for Wahiawa dog lovers. There’s parking nearby, though it can fill quickly, and the park is typically quieter than other areas, especially during peak holiday times. If you’re looking for a pet-friendly spot with basic amenities, Wheeler Dog Park is a great choice in central Oahu.
Currently it smells horrible, it’s covered in dirt more than grass and the water fountain is stopped up by mud so it doesn’t work properly. Needs some maintaining!!

I don’t know who’s loves this place more. Me or my dog. I take him every Sunday and we stay for about an hour. Only bad part is that once there are 4 onwers in the park that’s all you can really fit.

Backyard-sized dog park, suitable for 5-8 dogs at most. There are 3 sitting areas (plus 2 right outside the park), a couple of trees, 2 small obstacles and a basket of toys. The grass is mowed regularly and the ground is clear of debris and feces. The fence line is reinforced so even small dogs will not find an opening to squeeze out through.
A little more attention could be paid to upkeep; there is no water source available due to a broken fountain. Thankfully there is a public bathroom within walking distance so I was able to get water from there and walk it back.
There is 1 Pokestop right in the middle of the park.

Generally a decent dog park. It seems to be well attended and the dogs are usually very friendly. There are places to sit and a couple trees that provide a little shade. I appreciate that there are things for the dogs to play with, but there is no access to water, and the enclosure is pretty small.
