If you’re searching for the ultimate dog park in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Pups and Pints stands out as an all-in-one destination for dog owners and their furry friends. This dog park and bar/restaurant combination offers ample outdoor seating, plenty of shade, and a welcoming, lively atmosphere where both people and pups can relax. Known for its great selection of food and drinks (including options for both humans and dogs), Pups and Pints is popular among locals and visitors alike. Karaoke nights, evening events, and a dog-centric environment make it a go-to for anyone seeking a fun outing with their canine companion.
The park area is mostly turf or concrete, creating a clean and playful space for dogs to socialize off-leash while their owners enjoy delicious meals and beverages. Staff are attentive to both dogs and humans, offering complimentary water for pups and maintaining a casual, pet-friendly vibe. Easy wheelchair access, restrooms, and both free parking lot and street parking add to the convenience. Note: you must create an account on the Gingr app and provide up-to-date vaccination records for your dog before entry.
One of the coolest places to go to. I was able to have my dog with me while I did karaoke and had a few drinks. They have food for you and your dog as well. A must visit even if you just want to use the dog park. Be sure to have records of your dog’s shots though. You have to create an account on the Gingr app first before they will let your dog in.
Pups and Pints combines everyone’s, yes obviously everyone’s 2 favorite things, Dogs and Food. Do you love dogs, this is the place, do you love food, this is the place, do you love both… Welcome to heaven!!
Important that you do go to the restaurants website if you open to bring your dog!
On a more measured note, our lunch really was delicious and we got to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather and the pups playing. We learned they do evening events and they have the perfect venue for it. It’s fun, welcoming and all the staff seem great. Ordered inside, got a buzzer and went outside to wait. Then grabbed our food from the service window looking to the outside.
If you’re a local make this a go to spot, if you’re on vacation, you definitely need to go see what all the fuss is about. And if you’ve read this far, I know your tail must be wagging! Enjoy!!
The drinks and food were some of the best I have had in a while. My dogs enjoyed all the new smells and getting to spend some quality time with my husband and me. Prices were on the higher side, around NULL for two alcoholic drinks and one entree, but the quality made it worthwhile so I cannot complain too much.
That said, the order of operations could definitely use some improvement. It was not clear where to enter the restaurant (you actually have to go through the gate in the back of the building), and there was not much natural grass for my dogs to potty (most of the area is turf or concrete). I also did not love having to wait in line to order food, especially while managing dogs. It would have been much more convenient if staff brought the food out to you. To add to the confusion, food orders are just set out without clear communication about whose is whose, which led to some awkward guessing.
Despite those logistical hiccups, we still had a good time overall. The quality of the food and drinks definitely stood out, and it is a fun concept for dog lovers.
Me and my dog love this place. We have not had a bad meal or bad experience since going. The food is always made fresh to order and amazing the bar staff always is so excited to see my dog. My dog loves the atmosphere the plenty of shade and the complimentary water provided by the staff.
I visited Pups and Pints in Virginia Beach on Mother’s Day and was really touched by the sweet gesture of being given a rose — such a thoughtful detail that made the day special. The atmosphere was great, and my puppy had a lot of fun. The only problem was I ordered the chicken and waffles for my puppy, and shortly after eating, she threw up — something that has only happened once in her four months with me. She’s not a picky eater and handles food very well, but she seemed off for the rest of the day. While I loved the concept and the environment, I would recommend that the dog menu be reviewed for safety, just to ensure all pups leave as happy and healthy as they arrive. Overall, it’s a very nice place and I’d consider coming back, but I’d be more cautious next time.
