Marshview Park Field is a hidden gem located near the oceanfront in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Featuring a large open field, circular paved paths, and quiet, pet-friendly trails shaded by trees, this park is a favorite among locals looking for a peaceful spot to let their dogs roam. The park offers plenty of space for play and dog-friendly hiking, and several small playgrounds with aquatic statues for children provide entertainment for families visiting with kids. The beautifully maintained landscape, combined with scenic marshlands and birdwatching opportunities, makes Marshview Park Field a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts and dog lovers alike.
Dog owners appreciate the availability of multiple dog areas, friendly patrons, and well-maintained clean grounds. Amenities such as a gazebo for shade, benches for seating, and a private parking lot ensure a comfortable visit, while the quiet atmosphere makes it a perfect location for unwinding or enjoying a lunch break by the water. With trails, athletic fields, and unique scenery, Marshview Park Field is an ideal spot for both dogs and their owners seeking adventure or relaxation in Virginia Beach.
Nice park hidden in the middle of vb. Parking in all three locations is very limited meaning it gets more visits from the people who live around the park. It looked clean, equipment looked well maintained and overall it was very pleasant to walk there.
Wonderful new trails and a beautiful open landscape make this one of my favorite parks near the oceanfront in Virginia Beach.
Quiet and quaint, with little foot traffic and lots of space. There is even a dog park on the north side, near Norfolk avenue.
I have been coming here for years and I continue to come here because it is little-known and great for clearing your mind.
This field is large and gorgeous and a perfect place to place some soccer for neighborhood kids or let the dogs roam around.
I like that there is a circular and paved path all around the outside of the field as well as several small play areas for children with aquatic statues for toddlers to play on with benches.
A gazebo or two rounds it out.
Super nice park with parking directly beside it in a private lot that opens at dawn and closes at dusk daily.
Been a couple times with my new puppy. There are 4 parks for the dogs so you have a choice how far your puppy can wander. Everyone is friendly and very good about picking up after their dog.
Be sure to explore the whole area. While the field is open, there are shaded, paved trails behind it. There is a park to the right of the field and one to the left. You have to take a trail to both if you park at the field.
