We always bought season passes for the park but they closed down most of the places we would go to, so after 20 some years we just stopped going. So because I don’t have a dog to walk the park doesn’t offer me much anymore.
Awful.
We had reservations months in advance for a memorial service. It was disgusting.
I’ve lived off hogset lake my whole life and ive never seen the park in that bad of shape.
We won’t be buying a pass this summer. No clue what the money is being used for but it’s not to maintain the park.
Real shame.
I won’t even waste my time listing all that’s wrong. I can say 100% they did nothing right and the park feels abandoned.
It’s NULL for a day pass or NULL for the entire year. We’ve gone kayaking here multiple times in the past and recently took the kids sledding on the hill in front of the beach house. They do have a fire going on occasion in the beach house for you to warm up and take a break from sledding. There’s also at least one bathroom open throughout the winter–the family bathroom. Keep in mind that the sledding hill does go into/on the lake. The lake was frozen over, so it wasn’t much of an issue except for a couple of small puddles where the ice was thin/broken near shore.
My kids had a blast and we will definitely go back soon.
I always have a good time here. Sometimes it’s a busy place and other times not so much. Either way, there is plenty of room. We like to take the inflatable rafts out to the middle and jump in, life vests are worn by all. For NULL per car to visit a clean facility and well kept grounds it’s hard to beat. I don’t agree with what the county is doing to the adjacent property owners. The park is big enough. That property has been in the same family for many years. Leave them alone and take care of what you have.
It’s nice, peaceful.. lots of wooded area. Too much goose poo for me though… maybe I’m getting older and weirder- but after swimming last night, u felt so disgusting lol.
