A wonderful park for the whole family or for a holiday. there are many tables and you can make a barbecue. large playgrounds, many trees and in hot weather it is easy to find shade to have a great time.
Nice, peaceful environment. Grounds and picnic area were clean. 2 or 3 play areas for children. The women’s bathrooms were a bit dirty. Can do better with keeping them clean.

Valley Stream State Park is a fantastic spot for a family or group outing. I recently visited with family and friends for a BBQ, and we had a great time. The park offers plenty of open space, making it easy to find a spot to set up and relax. There’s also ample parking, though it comes with an NULL.00 fee.
The facilities are well-maintained, with clean public restrooms and numerous playgrounds that kept the kids entertained for hours. For those who enjoy sports, the basketball courts are an added bonus. The park is impressively clean, making it a pleasant environment for everyone. Overall, it’s a great place for a day out with loved ones.
I love visiting this park for grill outs. No matter how busy it seems to get, there’s always a grill available. I also love the path for walking around the park. I haven’t personally ridden a bike on the path, but I have seen others do so as well as roller skate. There are also a couple of benches along the path to rest. There is a bench located at one of the streams where the ducks swim around. It’s a really relaxing spot. In the warm months the park is gorgeous with more ducks, bird calls, and blooming flowers. In the warm months there’s also an ice cream struck stationed in the park.
There’s plenty of parking and restrooms available for most of the day. A playground for kids and several grills and picnic tables. There’s also plenty of room to set up a hammock and picnic tent wherever you decide to station yourself.
