Much needed. Long overdue. We need more places for our dog children to play with others. This is great. My boy Cheeno loves to go and socialize with other dogs. Well, if you call an hour of trying to mount and jump everything moving socializing that is.

2 large chain link enclosures. (One for large dogs, one for small dogs. With double access gates. Very nice dog water fountains and fake hydrants (for those who need a promo to pee)

Plenty of convenient off road parking.

Love that there’s a big dog park and a small dog park. Don’t love that people can’t/won’t pick up after their dogs and not to be gross, but considering the size of some of the droppings, there were big dogs in the small dog park. There is a waste receptacle with bags, a drinking faucet that’s off no
w, probably due to the cold. The fence has approximately a 3-4 inch gap at the bottom, so it’s possible a really small dog could get under it. Still, it’s a nice area, plenty of parking and we have had it to ourselves 4 out of the 5 times we visited.

Beautiful HUGE dog Park with points of interest like hydrants, a gazebo for humans, a water fountain for dogs and people, and a water pump for especially hot days! Double doors, and high fences!!!

There is a parking lot at the dog park, located on Welsh Bush Road at the intersection with South Park Drive. You can park there or walk from the main parking lot at T.R. Proctor Park near the new playground— either on the sidewalk on Welsh Bush Rd or on the path with the pedestrian bridge that crosses Starch Factory Creek.

There are two separate fenced areas, one for large dogs and one for small dogs.

Each area is equipped with a trash can, dog washing station, and a water fountain for both people AND dogs. There is also a sheltered area with benches in both parks.

For now, the park appears to be free to access as long as your dog has a valid license, but according to a posted notice from the office of the city clerk, they will be charging fees and requiring a permit to use the park.
