Really great. A lot of view options so it pays to study the trails and locations of natural features you would like to see depending on tour length of stay. The Far View Lodge was worth it, as it is in the heart of the park. However it is showing aging signs and could use an update.

It’s a nice place and good to know about the history of the people. Apart from the architecture part, the views were more like a far sight canyons and mountains, might feel regular if you have been to couple of other parks in the state or across US. People told to take guided tour but was not open when I went unfortunately. So I self guided with GPT and was good to see and relate.

Really an amazingly awesome adventure! We had no idea Colorado had preserved such an ancient piece of history. Campground was one of the best camping experiences. Overall, super amazed by this tunnel back into time🥰

Wow! What a joy it was finally visiting nature’s palace. Mesa Verde Park has long been a personal bucket list item. This is an incredibly beautiful national treasure. The views, vistas, and natural landscapes are heavenly delights. We were thrilled, not disappointed in any way, during our recent visit. There is so much to explore, experience, and learn. History is timeless. Our country’s history is timeless. Entering the welcome center, museum, and park – the entire staff were welcoming, as was the park ranger, leading our Cliff Palace Discovery tour. She was informative, passionate, and accepting of questions from young and old, while expressing concern for our safety, and the preservation of this historic gem. No doubt, she was the best of the best. A huge heartfelt thank-you! This remarkable park rests at roughly 8,000 feet above sea level. We experienced no issues climbing the ladders necessarily to reach nor depart Cliff Palace. There were other innumerable native sights to experience, all of which were lovely and informative as to the native culture, a people which designed and built these palace homes into the cliffs, as a testament to life – theirs and ours! Such an enjoyable visit this was!

Make sure you have at-least an hour added to the time what your car gps states to be on time for your tour. Tour starts not at the parking but at a different entry point which requires at least a mile of hike to get there. It gets very hot in summer so do carry a lot of water. They have restrooms at various locations with is good. Glad we carried food as cafes were far. The roads are on a cliff, so many cars were driving cautiously. Signs were well places to plan for scenic location stops. Two hikes are literally next to a cliff, so sturdy shoes recommended. Would highly recommend Longhouse tour if you had to pick just one. Ranger Ray was very knowledgeable and shared a lot with us during our tour. These tours gets sold fast, so do book your tour in advance.
