hope it was just a bad week – judging from all the great reviews- but did something happen to Hunter Park? this place used to be a nice park where we spent half a day walking around and doing picnics. watching the geese the birds with our kids was lots of fun. the dog park has seen better days. lately, its appearance has gone down, the grass is not mowed, ball courts are poorly kept and need repair. sun bleached signage all over and no birds or squirrels, looks like run down and needs TLC. our family had great memories here, so hopefully it gets better ♡
Honestly we where looking for a different park when we googled upon Hunter Park 😍 This piece of beauty filled fun in the sun was peaceful space with everything needed to a hours of enjoyment for every age group!! I highly recommend a visit!!!
2 dog parks that are amazing, plenty of room, the people and dogs are great. A fishing pond with, perch, bass, crappie. A Frisby disc golf course, paved walking trail. Creek with water. Kids playground, BBQ covered clean area 2 grills that Were nice. Small bathroom actually clean. Decent parking area. There’s only 3 handicap parking neer the dog park entrance. Basketball court. Like this is a park that offers something for everyone in the family. The people were friendly as well as the dogs in the park.
The wooded frisbee golf course and trails are a major highlight. Good for kids, dogs, and their parents too. Extensive dog park area with play features and picnic spots. Also a lovely pond area with multiple fishing piers.
This was beautiful park to visit. I saw so many people enjoying it. A couple curled up sharing a blanket, a toddler stretching his legs and getting away from his dad, people fishing in the on-site pond, people eating down by the creek area, a woman getting her hair prepped for a photo shoot, a group of guys playing frisbee and a well hidden and very large on-site dog park. I simply came for a stroll and to hit my step count for my relaxing day, haha. A gem. Will be returning for sure. Oh and it’s a paved concrete path, not gravel. Additionally, I saw a basketball court, and many benches along the pathway.
