Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
If you’re traveling along I-35 near Troy, Texas, the Dog Park at Love’s Travel Stops is a convenient stop for dog owners seeking a clean and pet-friendly space. This spacious dog park is notably bigger and nicer than many other truck stop parks in the area, and it’s praised by travelers for providing a welcome break for dogs to stretch their legs and enjoy some off-leash freedom.
The park features multiple gates and sturdy fencing for safety (although some gate repairs have been noted in reviews). There are plenty of waste stations and trash bins, making it easy for visitors to clean up after their pets. While there isn’t a water source on-site, the park’s cleanliness and friendly maintenance staff stand out in traveler reviews. Perfect for a quick rest or a play session, it’s one of the best pet relief stops you’ll find along your road trip.
I’ve been here a few times the gates latch very well now since they made the repairs, there’s no water on site, but plenty of trash cans and baggies to help pick up after your dog though Nobody actually does…
And this goes out to the couple who had their tiny dog in the big dog park when I brought out my seventy pound german Shepherd
No, offense, but screaming at your tiny dog Because she wanted to come, play with my girl doesn’t make things better, especially after, I tried to explain that, she was a service Animal and she plays with little dogs All the time…
Your hostile attitude towards me and my dog.And the way you rolled coal when you pulled past the dog parkMaking a show of being angry with me wasn’t helpful… Have an honest conversation with owners before you just assume things about dogs..
I never assume a dog is aggressive. But I don’t let my girl off the leash until i’ve had a conversation with the owner as well.. Because I understand the stereotypical attitude of big dogs are aggressive…
We need to do better as a community. If we want to have a better community

So nice that a lot of these Love’s Truck stops have a dog park for our traveling furry friends. This particular dog park is bigger and nicer than usual from what I have seen at other Love’s.

We had traveled with our 9mo old puppy only stopping at loves for areas to let her be “free”. We were traveling from Eastern Iowa to Austin, TX this was a return trip stop and the cleanest Loves dog park by far! The groundskeeper was very friendly.
