What an amazing opportunity for kids!! Endless Mountain Outfitters hosted this Free Kayaking event for kids up to age 14 to come learn how to kayak! Everything was provided, even the safety whistles! This event was perfect for our family as these boys have a Mom who is terrified of water so this allowed them to learn and explore something they would have otherwise had to wait until they were adults to do! They learned right alongside kids their own age to paddle and have fun!

A spacious park with beautiful, rolling scenery. There is a large lake, but no camping available. Strictly a day use park with miles of trails, a beach and other family oriented activities. I’m sure you’ll be satisfied with your visit to the park. The scenery is my favorite part of the park and while someone is boating, picnicking or hiking, they’re sure to see something inspiring. The namesake is the mountain dominating the skyline, while woodlands and farmlands dot the countryside. State Game Lands #289 is very close and it too offers a large pond for fishing, forest lands, wet meadows and open fields. The park and game lands are great for the naturalist no matter their specialty.
