Kinloch Park is a conveniently located dog park in Troy, New York, offering local pet owners a simple outdoor space where dogs can run, play, and socialize. The fully fenced grassy area, accessible from Parmenter Ave, lets dogs exercise safely while their owners enjoy some fresh air. Wheelchair-accessible entrances and parking are available, making it an inclusive choice for families and individuals alike.
This dog park is all about open space—perfect for a game of fetch, Frisbee, or just letting your pup burn off energy. While it doesn’t have extra amenities like seating or water fountains, it’s a straightforward, no-frills spot that stands out for its community vibe and natural surroundings. Parents will appreciate that it’s also good for kids, though the playground facilities need updating. Note that the area can get muddy after rain, and parking is very limited.
It’s a tall fence around a grassy area. Great for the fogs to run sround, plenty of sticks to go after, but it does get muddy and water logged, and no place to sit… But on a nice day, we go there to let the fog get his energy out.
It’s unclear if I can even let my dog off the leash, as it is an open field that backs to some brush that divides it from people’s houses. There is no water. It was ok for playing Frisbee until I realized I forgot my water bowl.
We went there today, the bushes and trees next to it are completely overgrown. The area is small to begin with for it to lose space to plants nearby. Parking is nonexistent. I really hope Troy gets it together and gives its residents a decent dog park.
I would you is just to practice my lacrosse skills. Then I found a lacrosse goal in the woods and tried to fix it, but it still works
Great space for the dogs. I wish they would fix up the rest of the park. The court and rides for the kid need updates.
