Troutdale Off Leash Dog Park – Dog-Friendly Fun in Troutdale, Oregon

If you’re searching for a pet-friendly dog park in Troutdale, Oregon, the Troutdale Off Leash Dog Park is a local favorite nestled behind Columbia Park and the Imagination Station playground. This fenced, off-leash dog park offers a spacious, bark chip-covered area under tall trees, providing plentiful shade for pups and owners alike, and is a welcoming spot for locals and travelers passing through. The park features multiple entrances, including double-gated access for added security, waste bags at each entrance, seating on large stones and benches, and friendly regulars who create a community atmosphere.

Dog owners will appreciate the separate small dog area (for dogs under 25 lbs), while the main enclosure is large enough for most dogs to run, fetch, and socialize. Water for dogs is generally available via a large refillable cooler, with future plans for a plumbed fountain. Convenient parking is provided near the green water towers, and a children’s playground is nearby for families. The park hosts special events like annual Howl-o-ween dog costume contests and is open year-round for your canine companion’s exercise and social needs, making it a quiet retreat for dogs who may not be as social.

It was alright. Expected other dogs here but there were none. Lol. Lots of space for me and my dog. They had an area for smaller dogs (25lb and below) that I think could have used some TLC. It was a bit odd to find since it was behind some water things and a baseball field. Tbh I’m surprised that there was no one else here on a work day after 5pm. If you want a place to stretch your dogs legs that aren’t too social this is the spot!!!

Loved this park. Traveling from Idaho with 2 Frenchies. They needed a break and lived it soo much that we stopped there on our way back from the coast also

There are 3 separate entrances but nothing obvious when you drive up for the first time. Drive into the parking lot in front of the green water towers (2 of them i believe). A child’s playground will be to the Northeast of the water towers (it’s obvious to see). To access the enclosed off leash area (for dogs, not kids) walk beyond the playground and thru the fence gates. A path to the dog entrance will be obvious to the left.

This is a must see fenced off Dog Park nestled behind imagination station at Columbia Park. There are lots of trees for shade and 3 entrances w/waste bags provided at each and a picnic table as well as lots of large stones for resting while your dogs runs about! In 2025 they enclosed a smaller part inside the fenced in area so now there is also a small dog section! The city currently provides water with a large 5 gallon sport cooler on a stump that they refill it often. There are plans to plumb in water in 2025. They have also had a howl-lo-ween dog costume contest event/party the last two years and it looks to be an annual event!

Our family loves the Troutdale Off Leash Dog Park! It’s a nice place under tall trees that block winds in the winter and shades you from the sun in the summer! Our pup Willow gets her energy out and exercise in while being protected by the fenced in area. Super close to our house and well maintained by Troutdale Parks.
