Traverse City Veterans Memorial Park offers a welcoming and accessible space with wheelchair accessible entrances and parking. The park includes amenities like picnic tables, public restrooms, and water fountains. It is dog-friendly and suitable for children, with shaded areas and a pavilion for gatherings. While the park is a beautiful natural spot with a creek, some concerns with local homeless presence have been noted. Overall, it remains a pleasant and functional outdoor area for relaxation and dog walking.

It’s a beautiful place. No bathroom which sucks if having a picnic. But as the evening closes in the homeless seem to gather here. There have been so many times where there are police just crawling all over the place. It seems dangerous. The homeless will hound you for your phone or ciggerettes.

We stopped at this park for lunch. It was clean and had a pavilion for us to eat at. There were porta potties on the property and water fountains. There does appear to be a homeless camping area in the woods across the street. They came over to use the water and the restrooms, but weren’t rude and didn’t approach us. Great spot overall.

Just needed to get out of traffic and came across this place. Got some air in the shade.got my phone to load maps find the address I was looking for. refreshed went to the address then cruised the beach drìve for miles that’s how we found the gas, sandwiches and cold drinks. Looked over seen a park, beach, restrooms,
Dog area, parking lot and shade. All was right with my world.

There were fish here in the kids creek before fisherman fished them out. So much for spawning grounds untouched. Shame to see something so beautiful so closely and someone else ruins it.. thank you….. the creek should be part of the VETERAN’S Park out OF REPSECT! Instead it belongs to the city. Beautiful area ❤️ if it were all a park. (Protected) Loved and cared for…

As a funeral director, I wasn’t sure if this would be the best place for a memorial service, but it turned out to be the best place for the service and the honor guard. The canopy and picnic tables were also terrific for the lunch afterwards.
