It is relatively quiet and good for spending time leisurely on the beach. However, the waves are strong and the water is deep, so it is not the best place for young children to play in the water. It is a good place to spread out a beach chair and read a book or sunbathe rather than play in the water.

Nice atmosphere here–people walking, running, playing volleyball, but it also was not crowded at all. Very nice views of coastline and blue water. Calm and relaxing. It wasn’t warm emough for me to get into the water though it was pleasant walking on the sand.

Torrance Beach is one of the best hidden gems in the South Bay! Unlike other crowded beaches, this spot feels peaceful and offers breathtaking ocean views, perfect for a relaxing stroll or a photoshoot. The soft golden light at sunset creates a magical atmosphere, making it an ideal location for capturing warm and natural family moments. I recently did a family session here, and the backdrop was absolutely stunning! Sharing one of my favorite shots from that day

This is a pretty nice beach and it is well maintained, no trash. It can get crowded and parking is paid. This is also the start of a well maintained bike trail headed along the coast.

Good beach to bring the kids for a swim. Weekends it gets a bit busy but that is to be expected. Parking on the streets or in the parking lot near Merrimac park entrance for NULL.
Beach was rather clean. Volleyball nets in front of the beach homes at the top of the hill. Nice view and the ride was pretty nice the day I came, on Sunday. Lifeguards throughout and recycling and trash cans everywhere. Luckily most people kept their area clean so its perhaps one of the cleanest beaches I’ve been to.
Great place to come back again throughout the summer. It does get busy with folks with boards so you kind of have to be careful when they find a good spot with some waves to ride, no matter how small they may be. Had a good time with the family.
