Sunnyglen Park offers a spacious, green oasis in the heart of Torrance, CA, making it a pleasant spot for families, joggers, and local dog owners looking for pet-friendly trails. The park features a large grassy field surrounded by a lighted, paved walking trail—an ideal setup for those looking to enjoy dog-friendly hiking or leisurely strolls with their furry companions. While not specifically a dedicated dog park, the open space and scenic setting create a welcoming environment for leashed pets.
Visitors appreciate the family-friendly amenities at this Torrance park, such as a modern playground, two basketball hoops, picnic areas, workout equipment along the path, and a softball/T-ball field. Tall trees provide shade throughout much of the day, making it a more comfortable destination even during sunny weather. However, please note that this park does not have a fenced area for dogs, so it is best suited for those comfortable keeping their pets on-leash, especially due to nearby traffic and the occasional presence of wildlife in the evenings.
A simple course for a nice jog. Nice neighborhood to run in too. The park is practically a round track with a small but helpful basketball court. The playground is nice. The workout equipment laid along the track is metal and a bit old. But perfectly fine to use. For dogs, not so much.
Not really safe for dogs as the cars zip by and there isn’t any fences. Plus, coyotes like to run through the park after 9pm. So keep an eye out in this area.
