Hills Pet Nutrition Bark Park in Topeka is a spacious, well-lit dog park that features a large fenced grassy area with a double-gated safety entrance to help prevent escapes. The park is wheelchair accessible and offers amenities such as picnic tables and a water fountain (seasonal). It is a popular spot for dog owners, suitable for kids, and has decent parking, though it can get crowded during peak times. While the park currently lacks agility equipment, a swim area, or shaded covered shelters, it provides a friendly environment for dogs to socialize and play off-leash. Visitors are advised to bring their own water and toys like tennis balls.

We brought out little dog here, she is deaf and going blind in one eye. She had a great time sniffing every where. She actually wanted to make friends with a couple of dogs. That’s unusual for her. The people at the park were very friendly and looking out for everyone’s dogs. It was a great time.

Huge dog park with nice people and dogs! Stoped here on a road trip and our dog 🐶 ran and ran. Highly recommend.

• Dbl gate safety entrance so dogs can’t escape (if ppl use correctly/have common courtesy/mindfulness towards others coming & going).

•Large grassed, fenced area w/some dirt/muddy areas.

• Great lighting

• Good (late) hours (open until 11pm)

• Nice neutral location for SN County residents

• Decent parking, but can get congested during peak hours.

• Nothing for dogs to do if no other dogs are present… like obstacle course/tunnel & ‘pools’ they used to have!

• There are tennis balls if you search grass, but typically nasty & mowed over. I advise bringing 1 each time you go if your dog likes to fetch (& plan on leaving it there).

• Water fountain (when working).
I bring bowl & water to have available as needed. (Bring water in winter season as fountain is shut off).

• No walking path/trail like other dog parks I’ve been to.

* See other info regarding dogs/park. I no longer bring my dog when others are present due to the violent/bully nature of several unwatched ‘regular’ dogs.

A cool feature another dog owner pointed out was a pet ID chip reader for anyone to use in the event there is a dog they might like to read the chi p of a lost pet. Instructikns and all.
Kinda cool.
