Located at 9738 Hufsmith Rd, Burroughs Dog Park is one of the top-rated dog parks in Tomball, Texas, providing a safe, spacious, and welcoming environment for dogs and their owners. The park features separate, fenced areas for both small dogs (with a 20–25 lb limit) and large dogs, ensuring a tailored, secure playtime experience. Shaded spots, water fountains, and doggie pools offer plenty of ways for pups to cool off and stay hydrated. Pet-friendly paved walking trails loop through the wooded park, offering additional exercise opportunities for both you and your four-legged friend.
What makes Burroughs Dog Park unique is its size, cleanliness, and serene atmosphere. The park is well-maintained with regular upkeep and offers amenities like picnic tables, ample parking, a covered pavilion nearby, and restrooms for owners. Beyond the dog park, families can enjoy playgrounds and scenic nature trails with beautiful wooded paths and several ponds, making it a great pet-friendly and family-friendly destination in the Spring and Tomball area. The community is friendly, and there’s always space to run, play, and relax.
I live in Pinehurst, so this isn’t really right around the corner, but it is DEFINITELY worth going. The dog section of this enormous park is divided into 2 parts (one for larger dogs and one for smaller dogs @ a 20# limit). We just adopted a smaller pithuahua after putting our 70# pitty down 3.5 years ago, so I can now appreciate having the separate areas. The entire park is clean, well-managed and maintained. There are water pools and fountains in each area and they are well shaded. The thing I thought very interesting is that there is a walking track inside the areas as well…for those who want to get a little exercise in while your fur-baby gets their play time. I’ll definitely be going back!
This is such a nice dog park! Plenty of shade. I just wish people would adhere to the rules and take their larger dogs to the large dog area. My puppy is only 10 pounds and twice I’ve driven there but people have their large breed (German Shepherd and Pitbull) in the “Dogs under 25 lbs “ side.
Burroughs is the best! My girls love to come here and play. They know they’ll get to run and meet other dogs. People are friendly and the dogs are awesome! This is the best place to run off all their energy😁😁
Nice big park. Not busy, as others have mentioned. I wish the water spots had a proper pad and drain setup. Makes it muddy when lab constantly needs new water.
Large park makes nice for fetching and running. Also near the wheelhouse place, so a cold beer after 😀
Took our fur babies here for the first time to play. My Pitt is in training so i kind of waited until others exited the doggie park first to enter.. but seems he did very good responding to other pets leaving and only wanted to play with them..lol. But boy did he have fun along with our older fur baby who is a long haired Chihuahua. He gave out faster and quick. But he is a old man. Lol.. The place had doggie pools and extra bowls for water.. very clean. And it only takes us as dog owners to help keeping it clean and run fresh water for others also..Then we took a stroll around the pond area which was relaxing. King got in the water a little and the ducks wanted to play with him . But with him being only 6 months old and I’m training him and he is Pitt , i wasn’t so sure about that so we moved on, but they followed . It was cute. Very nice place Thank you all for a relaxing place and for a place to let our four legged toddlers run there energy out..
