Numerous escape opportunities
I like visiting but am unable to fully enjoy the experience worrying my dog(s) will find their way out of the fence
It’s big and there is a small dog area but it lacks trees, and it’s not very secure at the entrance. My 68lb lab mix got through the main gate of the large dog area and was running around the parking area. The inner fence at the entrance is over 6 inches off the ground and two small dogs got under it and out of the park. Thankfully they listened and were caught.
HUGE public dog park!
The small dog area is bigger than most large dog areas. Lots and lots of room to run! Lots of benches, trees, and large bushes. Each area has a dedicated dog water fountain and the large dog area has a people water fountain too.
There’s area several large sun screen umbrellas and dedicated rain cover pavilions, as well as tables and benches.
It’s a couple minutes out of the way, (like literally 2 minutes off 51) but WELL WORTH the extra few minutes. You’ll go over the train tracks and it’s on the Right.
My dog loves this place it is one of 2 parks he lives to run in. It is well maintained. Clean with sitting away from the front gate so other dogs are not waiting to pounce on my dog . And there is a mesh screen around the parking area so the dogs don’t greet you at the fence. There is a evening station and fu. Things to run around and through and birdies keep my pooch pointing and fresh for hunting
