A hidden gem in the city. I didn’t even know about “Middlegrounds” park until I was there yesterday for a retirement party. You can rent the shelter house for a NULL for the day. We all had a great time and, the grounds were wonderful. Plenty of table and chairs to relax in.
Driving thru Ohio stopped at this park to walk the dogs. It is lovely. Nice paths. We were there early and saw no one else on the trails
Very pretty. It was nice to find mushrooms growing. Despite being in the city, it was relatively quiet and relaxing. Will look i to renting the pavilion for future get together as well.
The path is near the river with up close views of the bridge. There’s a nice pavilion area with grills, picnic tables and bathrooms. Ample parking.
People were walking, running, biking, fishing. We didn’t think the walking loop was very long.. maybe 1 mile?.. so we extended it by entering the Owens Corning area, open to the public until dusk. Their property is even closer to the water. Could see The Docks across the river and watched a line of people board ‘The Sandpiper’.
