Bennett Park is a community park located at 4974 Bennett Rd in Toledo, Ohio, known for welcoming dogs and their owners. The park features a large open field perfect for dog-friendly play, and its pet-friendly policies make it a top consideration for anyone searching for a dog park in Toledo, Ohio. While the park offers amenities such as a playground, swings, picnic table, and seating areas, reviews note that maintenance can be inconsistent and litter is sometimes present.
The location is wheelchair accessible, including both the entrance and the parking lot, making it accessible for families and individuals with mobility needs. The playground is more suited for kids ages 5–12, with climbing structures but limited options for younger children. Dog owners should be mindful of the lack of designated fenced or separate off-leash areas and bring their own supplies, as water fountains and waste stations are not mentioned. Overall, Bennett Park is a convenient neighborhood option for dog walks and outdoor activities, especially for those seeking pet-friendly trails and a grassy area for their dogs to enjoy.
Would have a five if properly maintained. Not entirely the fault of the city because of riff raff, but still lowers the quality of the park.
Location was not ideal. Very trashy and no parking.
its basically a big field and not a lot of stuff for kids to play on. the field is always filled with trash like empty bottle of booze and water and pops, and wrappers from all sorts of candy and chips! no one ever cleans up after themselves.
Very subpar park for the size and location. The playground has no slides and lots of climbing things. Four swings, no baby swings. It’s a decent park for kids 5-12. There’s a Picnic table, a bench, and an unkempt baseball field with a small seating area. Please watch out for broken glass!
(2nd time here) I agree with other reviewers but during school hours, it’s the only close park to our home. My 3 y/o makes the best of it but not suitable for my 2y/o at all
