🐾 How to Handle Aggressive Dogs at the Dog Park – Real Advice from Dog Owners
Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
Sky Walk offers a scenic hiking experience featuring a short bridge and beautiful trails, suitable for children and nature lovers. The area is wheelchair accessible with a parking lot available, making it convenient for visitors with mobility needs. While the bridge walk is brief and may feel less impressive than expected, the surrounding natural environment and accessibility make it a pleasant outdoor destination. Visitors should note that the hike from the parking lot to the bridge takes about 10-15 minutes, and the park has limited operating hours.
My wife and I took the walk during the summer of 2023. It was “alright” but after reading all the hype it was a bit of a let down.
Very short walk to complete! Took twice as long to make the hike to get to there from the nearest parking lot!
We plan on visiting again, but will spend more time exploring the gardens this time around.
Not a fan of leaving bad reviews cause they place looks cool and employees were nice but we tried going here twice and never saw the skyline. It was very misleading considering they don’t have business hours listed online only a sign in the front that says they close at 5 and last entry at 4:30pm. The first time we came was about 7pm which is perfect for a golden hour walk since sunset is at 9:30pm and they were closed. We saw the sign and drove again tomorrow at 4pm since they said the last entry is at 4:30pm. We pulled up to the entrance at 4:01pm to do the sky walk and they refused to let us in telling us it’s only open 10-4pm. Even though they were going to be there till 5 they still refused to let us walk there for a few minutes. It’s unfortunate when you want to support but the hours are soooo limited. You’re missing out on at least 4-5 more hours of business. As social media creators we would have loved to film videos and shoot photos to promote. Maybe on our next visit we can try one more time
My daughter and I decided to make the trek up the hill to the new Sky Walk and I have to admit, I too was a bit disappointed. To be fair, it IS spring and the foliage wasn’t out, it was cloudy and cold and we had a group ahead of us that clearly couldn’t read, since the teen with them was rocking the bridge constantly. But we made the best of it and when we got to the end all I could say was, “that’s it?!” I take partial blame because I didn’t read the details ahead of time telling us how long the bridge was. We will try it again in the fall, hoping that makes a difference, which it should! Special thanks to the very nice Sky Walk volunteer who corrected me when I found a squirrel in a tree that turned out to be a raccoon!
If you’re at Hidden Lake Gardens, the Sky Walk is an option if you like hiking through the woods. Just keep those expectations low!
I gotta be honest… The hype of the Skywalk by far exceeds the actual experience. I had expected this to be about 3-4 times as long as it actually was. It only takes a couple of minutes to traverse the entire Skywalk.
You do have to hike about 10-15 minutes from the nearest parking lot. I’m not opposed to hiking at all but the end destination isn’t necessarily all it’s cracked up to be. I would liken it to a bit of a “tourist trap”.
It *is* actually kind of neat but would be a lot better if it were longer.
I loved this trail. If you’re expecting a huge mile long bridge, you will be disappointed. The bridge was cool and the trails were beautiful. Easy to spend a day at Hidden Gardens
