This is a very nice shelter, very clean, organized, and friendly and patient staff. After I lost my kitty of 12 years, the next day I went to the shelter had no plans for adoption just to look because I was very sad of my loss. Then I saw this one year old Kitty staring out the window with beautiful green eyes. And then, they were so helpful and they told me that I could take it home and if not I can bring it back in 30 days. I thought I’d try that out, but it’s been 2 years and her name is Tiffany and I’m very happy .. they need us like we need them. So we all have to try and rescue a pet because they need our love as well when we’re alone when we’re sad a pet does wonders to us. Thank you C๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿค—

The staff is so rude and unprofessional. When I first walked in they asked me to take a number. They were standing around talking to the mail lady while they had dozens of people waiting. They never called my number so I went up to the desk after waiting PAST MY APPOINTMENT TIME, and they said I didn’t need a number. The girls behind the desk were getting offended because I told them that they were rude and all they told me was I couldn’t speak to them that way. Waited almost two hours for vaccines. And I wasn’t supposed to be upset about that. The county needs to pay better attention to who they are hiring!

Right now they have some puppies and a lot of large dogs. I didn’t see medium or small dogs that weren’t puppies. One dog was half German Shepard and half Huskie reddish color if I remember right. Very nice dog. One of the caretakers there said he was one of the nicest dogs there. I can’t take big dogs as I have a small yard and I know from past experience they need a lot of exercise. I am just not that active. It is a shame as he seems really sweet. They have so many dogs that they are doing away with adoption fees right now.

The staff that I had communication in person was great, but the phone staff regarding being told I couldn’t pick up my pet, and being scolded that I should have been there at 2 to pick was wrong. We had been told to wait for a call to pick up our pet. We were finally notified to come pick.up our pet. A needless response from the phone employee that was very rude on the phone. The rest of the staff was great
