What a great place for family get togethers!
So it’s not the Ritz, if that’s what you want, but if you want a cost friendly rental with big ol shade trees outside & lots of room inside for your family & friends, then this is the place!
It’s a beautiful piece of property and a good place to have like a banquet or something like that. I’m pretty sure you can rent the kitchen also here. It is not paved so the parking lot is all gravel. However it has a lot of parking area. Their is a baseball field basketball court and a little jungle gym thing for the kids. The basketball court needs a lot of work though. To rent this place you have to contact Bedford County Parks & Rec.
Not a neighborhood friendly place/center. Drug deals, criminal activity, and harassment of neighbors all hours of the day and night are continuous. The folks hanging out at this park are poisoning neighborhood dogs, cussing its neighbors (including small children and young girls), along with harrassing, taking pictures and stalking folks on a regular basis The Community Center, Thaxton Baptist Church, and Thaxton Police Dept refuse to address the problem, run these people off, and protect the people of this community. It’s not a family-friendly or safe environment. Stay away! 😕
Nice place to hold an event. Large kitchen, covered patio, playground, and plenty of tables and chairs to set up. Plenty of space for outdoor activities and parking.
