Stay away from this place I have asked many times for a pull and seal the maintenance people are a joke the don’t fix water leaks like anywhere or update building codes. This company is under investigation anyways from the PG county AG run around you have been for warned will pics asks the residents

Edit to answer apartment complex: if yall cared so much bout yalls ye Santa like you say then why did it take 5 work order and me going to the office to drag a maintenance person to show them a master bathroom cause they didn’t know where it was, oh or the air filter I asked for cause a certified HVAC that I paid for out my pockets said that definitely not healthy I have tons more photos but those are for the AG of PGC. NigIl your manager trash said they didn’t have e a key for or to even do pest control turn in my key so they do it had to get my key back they acted like they never got it and by lease I allowed 2 keys to the mail and my house I still have one key so there for I’m not pay rent due to the lease being broke on yalls end note the fire hazard in the wiring the next time I get woke up by a false fire alarm 5 times in a row at 2 am I’m gonna shove more roaches and pest down it rent slot

My HONEST review. There are positive attributes to living here and also lots of areas of improvement. It’s not all bad but it truly depends on the building you’re in.
PROS:
I like the cleanliness of my apartment building, there is not a lot of noise on my side of the community, it’s typically easy to find a convenient parking, the staff at the rental office have ALWAYS been very helpful assisting me, I feel safe in this community, the washer and dryer in my building are functional. Also management seems to be making efforts addressing community concerns. The office staff are truly patient with people. They are often dealing with so many different issues. The apartment complex is 5 to 10 minutes from supermarkets and gym.
CONS:
It can be difficult to reach staff via phone, sending emails and going to the rental office is more effective. If you have visitors they must park in a visitor parking spot and must pay NULL per day. It’s an issue if the visitors’ spot are all occupied. Be aware that if you get a unit with a washer/dryer inside, the machine may not work!!! No need paying more for a feature that’s not functional. So choose your unit CAREFULLY. There is occasionally litter in the parking lot but there are also workers, who clean it up almost daily. The litter just speaks to the caliber of people who live in the community.

So let’s see Ive lived here since April 2023 . Leasing office needs to better with communication and staffing . .
1. my laundry door has been broken since I moved in . Kids come and go smoking and hanging out inside .
I currently have 4 work order that have been open since January . Ranging from
Outdated appliances , to water damage , to security issues .

Now there is water damage in my bathroom that maintenance keeps closing the ticket before anything happens ..
so I’m dealing with not being able to reach anyone in the leasing office for 3 weeks after being told there were virtually available.

Update 4/24/24
Let’s talk about this crazy leasing office not answering the phone .
I came home to a gas leak in the building , I called at 830/9 with no response .. THANK GOD I took the maintenance number . Fast fwd 5 HOURS !! the fire department is telling me to get out my building ..
WE COULD HAVE DIED !!!

Ms. Richardson is an amazing person and asset to this complex. She takes care of business and she’s polite and respectful at the same time. She makes tenants feel valued and I truly appreciate that so much. Hooray Heather Hill for Ms. Richardson👍🏾👍🏾

Please avoid wasting your time and money on Heather Hills. I’ve had an incredibly frustrating experience since moving in on August 9, 2024. After signing the lease, the company seems to neglect you, as they stop responding to calls and emails. The only way to get any attention is to visit the office in person, but even then, you might find a sign telling you to come back later.

I wasn’t able to tour my apartment before moving in because Alison from corporate told me it wouldn’t be ready until move-in day. When I arrived and got the keys, I found contractors doing touch-up work and a cleaner still in the apartment. I overlooked this and started moving in, only to find mice and droppings in the kitchen that night and I have not been home to enjoy my apartment since receiving keys.

I emailed management about the pest problem as well as the other issues in my unit and Alison responded with an apology and a promise that the Community Manager would follow up. It’s now August 15, 2024, and I haven’t heard from anyone, nor has anyone addressed the pest issues and other concerns in my unit. I have called and sent the office multiple emails and I left two voicemails at the corporate office with no response.

The management staff has been notified through email that I’ll be vacating the apartment on August 24, 2024, and requested a full refund but I received no response to that as well.

Attached are pictures of the apartment as of August 15, 2024.

I am an extremely disappointed and frustrated tenant of Heather Hills Apartments.
