Located in the heart of Temperance, Carr Park is a welcoming community space that offers plenty of amenities for families and pet owners alike. This popular park features shaded areas, a spacious playground, baseball and basketball courts, picnic tables, and grassy fields, making it a great destination for a family outing or a leisurely stroll with your dog. The park is fully wheelchair accessible, ensuring easy access for all visitors.
Dog lovers will appreciate that Carr Park is pet-friendly, allowing dogs to accompany their owners on-leash throughout the park. With its clean and well-maintained grounds, benches under shady trees, and a variety of activities for children, it’s a go-to spot for locals searching for a dog park in Temperance. Kids can have fun on the slides and swings while dog owners relax and socialize amidst a welcoming community setting. Park is great. I just wish the tennis courts were in better shape.
Nice little park… It had plenty of swings and plenty of benches. I love the Elephant 🐘 statue. Also had a basketball court.
Very clean, the families there was so nice, friendly and proper.. I would deff go for more family outings.
Nice and clean. Lots of things to climb. Nothing horribly broken or mangled. One really high wobbly red spiral slide 🙁
Plenty of places to sit even if some are lopsided or slightly muddy. Equipment was quite hot considering the ample shade surrounding the playground. But it was almost 90°F out. Lots of swings.
A decent park near downtown Temperance, MI. Best for kids in the 3 to 6 age range–but still having something to offer younger and older guests. I’ll say it is tough chasing a two-year old around the taller playground structure since it has many spots that are only for climbing up…not down! You’ve got your slides, swings, rock wall, and more. Wood chip surface, so I recommend socks and shoes for the little ones. Park includes a full basketball court (which at times draws in an older crowd), a rundown tennis court that needs some love, a baseball field that is much improved since becoming home to a travel team, picnic tables, benches, a gazebo, grills, and a picnic shade structure. There is a hall that can be rented across the north parking lot. BONUS TIP: Plan to come on a hot day? Definitely go for early to mid-morning. There is a huge tree that provides nice shade to the playground area during this time. Salud!
