Amazing hike so worth it make sure to wear good shoes and bring water and healthy snack for the end. Not a toddler hike. Moderate trail/hike.
Side note walking stick helps toward the end when you get near the falls

This is a fantastic hike! It’s fairly short and the waterfall at the end is gorgeous. Walking sticks are helpful as the last 3rd of the trail is pretty steep. Lots of wildflowers along the way. And the temp is considerably cooler up there.

Careful on the hike as the trail sometimes dissapears into streams but if you follow it it still easily shows most of the trail, and there are downed trees. But very fun hike! It is a little difficult out as it’s mostly uphill coming back

This is a 1.3 mile hike to the falls. Parking at W. Rattlesnake overlook near the state line. Trail is to the left. At the trailhead, make sure to turn left at trail 87, not right. We only made it through the first mile where its a gradual descent mostly along a creek bed. The last half mile is very steep, we turned around where this descent started since it started snowing and there are NO signs on the trail to reassure you’re actually on a trail. Will come back when its nicer out and not snow covered! Look forward to doing the Bald river falls hike more.

It is not as maintained as some of the other hikes, but it was very beautiful. This is a moderate to difficult hike, it is down hill going to the falls with some climbing spots, cross a small creek with some very slick rocks, but then you get to the falls. Nice spots to sit and just enjoy the out doors. Would definitely recommend and will go again.
