It’s always a pleasant walk with a good mix of wood and meadow trails. The trails are maintained well. Very pretty in the meadow.
This Tallmadge Meadows Park is an awesome place to enjoy the outdoors in a nice brisk walk. One of our very favorite places to come to. There are plenty of places to set up a picnic lunch or dinner and plenty of Trail. I clocked the full loop at 2.29 actual miles unlike the “2 miles” that is posted (just return up the path by the restroom like you start). If you want bright sunshine, a little woods, and an open meadow walk in grass take this. Public restrooms and nice big parking lot.
Beautiful spot for a quick walk or a longer hike. You can stay on the paved loop or go onto the unpaved trail for a longer walk. You can also hike into the woods but it’s buggier than the loops through the meadow. Lots of pretty views at sunset & lots of birds to keep you company as you walk.
Pleasantly surprised the trail was 2+ miles long! Well maintained trail. Half of it was paved. I took my dog, and I was so pleased he didn’t get muddy. (He did, however, pick up a tick on the trail.)
Bathrooms are available — no running water to flush the toilets and no sinks to wash your hands, but there was toilet paper and hand sanitizer.
I probably won’t be back because there are nicer trails in the area, but it was a great impromptu trail to help my puppy blow off some energy.
I had a great time with my family. My dog, Nova, loves it. There is a 2 mile trail, a .35 mile paved loop and a small historical cemetery that we visited.
