The location was very peaceful. The community was welcoming, but I was surprised at such a small scale. We did not see many people eating; however, enjoyed watching the cloggers and looking at the hand-made decorations. What made our drive worthwhile was little extras like the huge pile of hay and corn box was tons of fun for kids! Glad that there was no entrance and parking fee or might not have made the trip.

The Apple Festival and the Fourth of July are traditions in our family to be at Graves Mountain. Yes, it’s well attended but there is plenty of space for everyone. Apples and pumpkins and good food all for purchase. Music to be enjoyed at both events, there are picnic tables but bring your chairs to be sure of a seat. Bring your picnics if you’d rather. Depending on rainfall the Rose River is there to wade in, yep, a river to wade in. Go to their website for the extensive list of fun things to do.

The 4th this year was perfect 🇺🇸! The people were great! Horses were amazing to watch swimming in the swimming hole. I think it’s a lovely place to visit anytime of year actually. I look forward to visiting some time soon. Thanks Graves Mountain Lodge!
