Beautiful park in the heart of Syracuse Southwest side. There are trails through the woods with beautiful stone staircases. A lovely creek with lots of little waterfalls and bridges. Parking was in front by the baseball fields when I last visited. Very beautiful!
A great little gem in the city of Syracuse! Furnace Creek runs through this park with little waterfalls along it’s path. There is a stone bridge and many stone stairways to explore. If you like a mini hike, there are some short trails to hike on as well. There is a park playground for the children and picnic tables scattered around the park too. There is a small parking lot. There are paved paths that may be good for biking although they are not very long and are not well maintained.
The park is long and narrow bordered by hills on either side, with a beautiful cascading Brook running through it. The sound of the Brook bouncing off the hills on either side is fantastic.
It’s a sweet spot for a walk or a quiet sit by the Brook to restore one’s self.
Beautiful little Park tucked away in the middle of Syracuse! The park looks as if it is getting restored to its original beauty. A nice little stream with several small man made waterfalls runs through the middle of it. There is also a couple trails around it in the shaded woody area. It’s a nice little walk to break up the day. Someone has even been building little hut shaped shelters out of the branches that were laying around.
