The day I went to Sylvan Beach it was a nice sunny day and it was a boat sale going on. It’s a fun place if you enjoy rides and walking around eating ice cream or food at a local restaurant. The beach was closed that day. At night coming across the bridge you will see all the lights that light up the bridge. Lots of areas for cooking out and family fun. Sylvan Beach is an old beach that’s part of a small town but it has been well maintained over the years. I took photos, however because of people’s privacy I won’t share photos.

I used to come here with my brother and also with my friends as a teenager, and loved it. I took the family this weekend and for the most part, it didn’t disappoint. We had a great, reasonably priced meal at Eddie’s, went swimming and built sand castles, and the kids went on some rides. The only grievance was at Playland, where the skeeball games were broken and didn’t put tickets out. That place felt a little run down. But otherwise it was a lot of fun. We’re even talking about making this a new family tradition each summer and renting a cottage or lakeside house every year.
