Carey Ranch Park, located at the intersection of Laurel Canyon Blvd & Crestknoll Drive in Sylmar, CA, is a welcoming spot for dog owners seeking a peaceful and scenic getaway with their pets. The park features a large open field and beautiful panoramic views, making it an ideal spot for dog walking, picnics, and simply unwinding in nature. Dog owners often let their dogs enjoy some off-leash freedom in the open field, while ample shaded areas and picnic tables provide comfortable places to relax.
This pet-friendly park is also family-oriented, featuring a gated playground and activities for kids, making it a great destination for the whole family. With its scenic overlooks, kid-friendly spaces, and welcoming policy for dogs, Carey Ranch Park is one of Sylmar’s best outdoor spots for a casual day out.
Such a great low key park! I bring my dog here early in the morning or even throughout the day and I’m able to have her off leash and not worry!
It’s a park with a lot of potential because of the beautiful views, but it’s a bit out of the way and is not very maintained by the city and has few facilities.
The view is amazing….
The evening views are incredible. Large open field a few tables a some trees for shade in the middle of the day. Find a stop bring your food and stay hydrated or just enjoy the view and sounds
No public bathrooms makes it a place with potential
Have seen Coyotes, rabbits in the area at various times of the day…
We had a surprise birthday party for my lil brother. My sister in law chose this park because the play area is gated for the small kids the only problem is no one cleans this park and there are no restrooms. I had to clean up a lot of broken glass in the play area and we had to rent a portable restroom but other than that it was A great spot and we will do it again…
Nice small park. Great to take in the view and relax
