This is a rugged bike trail up hill slants throughout did see a large blue gray heron so beautiful quiet place use bug spray
Nice scenery. Nice trail to walk or run on. Not very challenging terrain.
A nice hike/walk on a sand/grass covered road. Mostly flat and very wide (a truck could easily drive on the loop path). Very sunny because it’s so wide.
What a great trail for walking, running, or biking! Great for the whole family with beautiful views of the forest and even an early morning sunrise through the trees. It is one of the few dog friendly off leash spots I have found in the area. Diverse environment of meadows and forest high on the mountain top. There is a loop with a variety of “out-and-back” trails that branch off from it. The loop alone is around 3 miles with the branch trails ranging from 0.6 – 1.3 miles (one way). Great signage/trail maps at every intersection.
First ride here. 70 degrees light breeze. 55 yo female here in fair physical shape. I don’t recommend this trail on warmer days as it would get very hot. No real views. Go clockwise to minimize effort.
