Absolutely one of the best places we have stayed at, owners were very friendly and the price was very good. We had 2 spots and we were traveling with friends and we want / will return….the new owners take really good care of the park and we’re super friendly…and as an added bonus they even gave us a VERY good military discount..Excellent out of the way place. You wouldn’t really expect an RV park like this one in such a small town as Sumpter, but its there…..
Sumpter RV Park is a very nice to stay. My wife and I stayed in a pull-through space with full hookup. Separation between the spaces were reasonable, most with room for a picnic table between each space. Plenty of shade by trees. The RV Park was well thought out and well maintained. The bathrooms and showers were available 24/7. They were relatively new and kept clean. I appreciated small details like clothing hooks, a bench, and soap dish in the shower. The laundry was coin-operated, reasonably priced, and well maintained. The operators of Sumpter RV park were available and helpful.Sumpter RV Park appears to attract a responsible andpleasant clientele. The Sumpter area is well suited for hiking and UTV exploring.
A verbal high five is great, but Google is forever!!,..Wonderful experience! Above and beyond service, beautiful setting amongst trees, super clean facilities. They made our stay exceptional, hosted a BBQ over the holiday and topped it off with a movie night which was a lot of fun. Thank you Jason and Nicole for making our stay so delightfullly memorable.Close to the attractions in town. The museum was great and be sure to go to the corn dog cart for lunch best corn dog I’ve ever had! ( The owner has worked on recipe for 20 yrs. It is perfection!)
We stayed for 4 nights. We would definately stay here again. The park is clean and well kept. The owners are very helpful and nice. They have different activities throughout the year like movies and social events at the park. The nearby town of Sumpter offers a lot to do locally. ATV access road is in the park..Don’t worry about getting in and out with RV. It’s no different than in and out of a gas station. I did mention to the owners that I don’t think they charge enough. Thanks again!
We have been at Sumpter RV Park for a full week now and I went online to do a review when I saw a review by D.W. with only 3/5 stars. I am astonished at all the negative things she had to say. I am wondering if we were truly at the same park! It’s unfortunate that she didn’t stay in contact with Sherry and Ron to know that they had sold the park. We called back in February to confirm that our reservation for Site 7, which we had booked with Sherry last summer, was still in the system and Nicole, the new owner, confirmed it was. I think that with a little common courtesy, she could have called ahead to confirm her site and let them know she was coming in early, regardless of who the owner was. It was presumptuous of her to assume that it would be ok for her to come in early and disregard the rules of check-in which are clearly posted on their website.I’ve walked the park several times every day that I have been here and haven’t seen a single dog poop in the park. Of course, if I did see some, I would have picked it up (or at least let Nicole and Jason know) since I feel that I am “living” here for a week. The grounds look just as nice as they did last summer. I didn’t see any dying plants and I did see plenty of water lines for the landscaping throughout the park. This is truly a beautiful park! And what a great place to bring UTVs. Of course, with UTVs comes dust. Especially when the rain has been at an all-time low this summer here. Nicole and Jason are as accommodating and friendly as any park owner I have met in the many years we have been RVing. They are doing a fine job in taking over this park and turning it into their own. We will definitely be back!
