Great cabins. Well appointed, even the original cabins. Heating, a/c, fireplace, kitchen — all in great shape. Enjoyed kayaking, hiking, and being off-grid. Nice patio and picnic table. Highly recommended!

Seems to be a nice state park, cabins and yurts available beach on the lake. They are pet friendly but pets must be on a leash at all times while outside.

We had a wedding here Saturday. Two of our guest cars got broken into and things got stolen . Then decided to try out one of the cabins out for a little get away for my lady and I. Cabins were awesome. We stayed in 20 . There were deer in our yard feet away from us . No TV for a few days was awesome and completely no cell service which was even better

This is another beautiful Virginia State Park, we’ve been here several times, have a great time every time! The boat rental here is ready and cheap, for a family you can get a rowboat for an hour for like NULL, 4 hours cost me NULL the first time. We never last past an hour. My adult daughters are convinced they know how to paddle, so as we sit there spinning in circles and hollering at each other how to do it, others glide by, giving me pitying looks lol. 😁 It’s a good upper body workout and it’s fun.

The beach is always clean and nice, big enough to always have space for you. The water was perfect temperature, no shocking coldness.

The grounds here are gorgeous, tons of shady spots to set up under too. A big playground near the beach, and a couple of pavilions you can rent.

The grill here has burgers, dogs, fries, etc, really yummy and not expensive. Ice cream too!

The gift shop has a range of things, actual Park gifts to forgotten Beach Toy replacements, the beach stuff is pretty cheap, the cool park stuff, not so cheap.

They have camping and cabins here, no hotel.

Fairy Stone State Park is such a beautiful and peaceful place. We really enjoyed our visit here. Right from the entrance, the rangers were incredibly friendly and helpful. One ranger in particular really went out of his way for us we told him we had young kids and weren’t planning to go into the lake that day, and he gave us great directions to the playground area instead. It was exactly what we needed.

The playground was perfect for our kids and even had two picnic tables nearby, which worked out great since we packed a picnic lunch. It made everything so easy and relaxing. The area was well maintained and felt very safe and family friendly.

There are lots of beautiful walking trails throughout the park. Even though we didn’t hike very far with the kids, the portions we did explore were really nice and scenic. My kids especially enjoyed the fairy stone hunt, they didn’t end up finding any, but they had a blast searching and exploring. Thankfully, the gift shop sells fairy stones, so they were excited to still bring some home as souvenirs.
