🐾 Kids at the Dog Park: Real Stories, Safety Risks & Smarter Solutions
If you’ve spent time at an off-leash park, you’ve probably seen it:A parent strolls in with a stroller 🚼 or […]
HJP Regional Park offers a lovely escape for dog owners and families in Stroudsburg, PA. Known for its pet-friendly trails and inviting atmosphere, the park welcomes leashed dogs and features accessible amenities for visitors of all ages. With a system of easy and scenic hiking trails, it’s a popular spot for those seeking a peaceful walk with their pets surrounded by nature.
The park is wheelchair accessible and includes public restrooms and amenities for children, making it an excellent destination for active families. Trails are generally easy and ideal for both experienced and novice hikers, though some visitors have noted that trail signage can be confusing. Please note: There is currently no fenced dog park area, and any previous off-leash areas have been closed to non-members. Water access for dogs is also limited, so it’s recommended to bring your own.
The trail system is nice but I agree with the other reviews that the sign system is a little funky. It’s cute that they tried to give the Spurs names but the trails themselves are not blazed well and it can get pretty confusing if you’re not familiar with the trail. There’s no freshwater stream on this trail for dogs to drink, keep in mind.
A+ walking trail!
Small easier trails
No dog park there at all. The one place that was there was closed and said members only!!! 😡
I really enjoy walking the trails. The trails need better signs so you can map a course. I tried, but end up in circles. Not that I mind, its a beautiful place.
