Excellent job digging up the bodies and renaming the mass grave Quacker Lake! Where did the bodies get moved to, though? I wouldn’t touch the water if I were you.
Not a dog park but dog friendly and there’s all kinds of other animals around their ducks turtles birds and a small rose garden very nice
Quacker Lake is one of the hidden gems on Stanislaus University campus. It’s right near the Rose. Peace Garden personally I really love the early morning time. The Sun coming through the trees hitting the flowers just right. The Rose is the morning dew. Drops on the grass makes the meadows shiny. As the Sun is flowing through, it’s very peaceful. It’s very poetic. It’s as if you’re walking through a poem on the early morning of this place is very beautiful in the city. It is one of the few places that you can feel as if you were Going Out to the wilderness kind of. Even though there’s buildings around that there’s tons of wildlife here. The fox still walks through here. There is plenty of squirrels this morning. I saw 3 hummingbirds fighting off a blue Jay protecting their nest. There is lots of beautiful peaceful things here. There is also a resting Stone for the native. Americans that were discovered when the state hospital grounds were being built. This is a very historical place. There’s a lot of good and happy things here and the. Landscaping can capture that. However there’s a lot of hidden ugly history about this campus as well. Don’t be fold. Those people who were buried were buried with no names. And that’s why the headstone was put there in remembrance of their souls. This campus actually use to have a lot of spiritual ghosts and counterines. For those who believe in that or not. After the headstone was put there, the campus and the spirits became at peace. You can sit on the bench and onlook. The water the geese fly in as well. It’s very beautiful. There’s I swear a 100 plus turtles. That people say they can count 20, but there’s at least 6 generations of turtles living in that pond this is one of my go to areas for to become peaceful for Zen. I love my town. Stockton has a lot of good hidden gems. And quacker lake is one of them, I also took some pretty good pictures to capture. How tall the historical water tower is. It’s as tall as the Palm trees & the pine trees and oak trees that are inside this campus. Back in 1883 Stockton used to get their water supply from that tower for the local surrounding areas around here fun fact on some history. And they are doing renovation on the campus to bring more possibilities for opportunities for students. My main focus was the beauty behind quacker lake in Stanislaus campus. So I hope you guys enjoy the photos. so whoever came up with the idea for the beautiful area , thank you.
