Hickory Creek Park is a clean and accessible park featuring a fenced-in dog park, picnic tables, and a playground suitable for children aged five to twelve. It offers wheelchair-accessible entrances and parking. The park includes open fields, shaded areas, and a short walking trail with access to a creek. While the dog park areas are fenced, some concerns about the surrounding swampy areas and lack of restrooms have been noted. Parking is limited but available.

Nice little quiet park with a short trail and dog park that is fenced in.

Honestly, the park was a little creepy. Not sure why people who care about kids that like to run and explore would rate it so well. There are no restrooms but plenty of bushes if that’s you’re style. Very concerning is that the entire park is surrounded by deep swampy pools of water and what appear to be overgrown foliage trails that lead to who knows where with no fences, except for the dog park areas which were both empty. It looks like a perfect breeding ground for snakes and other problems that could result in even bigger problems. There is access to a muddy creek, which was nice, but it almost looked like an old sewer line running directly into the creek where our boys wanted to play. We left after thirty minutes to find another park. This park is in need of some serious upgrades.

This is the cleanest, nicest park around. The play area is nice quality and very clean, there’s a fenced in dog park, and a walking trail that we haven’t tried yet. My daughter loves it. There’s also plenty of shade both beside the play area and over some of it for most of the day.

Nice park! Nice playground for littles to elementary age. If you have a dog, there’s a dog park next door.

What a fun little park! The playground is rated for five through 12-year-olds, so my almost 3-year-old did have a few issues where things were too big for her. The picnic tables and grills are nice. There’s a giant open field where you can do whatever you want, and way in the back on the right you can scramble down to the creek if your kids want to take a look. The parking lot is tiny, however, so the only real bummer is it limits who can be there; there probably won’t be a lot of friends for your kids to play with.
