Some really great hikes out here. Shelby County really did a phenomenal job building the trails.
Beautiful hiking trails with lots of rock outcroppings at the lookout points. The pavilion and bathroom facilities are new and clean with good parking. Beautiful outdoors here. It will certainly take more than one trip to see it all so we will be back again!
Great Trails! The single track trails are well maintained and great for hiking, running, or biking. Most of the large rocks have been removed from the path and the trek is surprisingly smooth. The incline is not too steep until you get near the top of the mountain. The switch backs keep the inclines manageable. The double track trails are rocky and steep in some places making it hard to walk on with slipping. There are clean restrooms with a shower in parking area plenty of picnic tables.
Trails range from easy to challenging and all have nice views, even the lower elevation trails!
Trails are well marked and offer many nice vistas.
Elevation at pavilion is at 700 and along the crest elevation is over 1300 feet. Lots of boulders also, especially at the top which has enormous boulders and awesome views!
Facilities are new and well maintained.
