FAQ for Fair Haven Beach in Sterling New York:
One of the most phenomenal beaches I have ever been to! The sand is so soft to your feet it’s actually amazing, the people are really sweet over there, the water is clean, the beaches are clean, there are guards everywhere and it is just the perfect area for a swim!
My favorite beach I’ve ever been at anywhere! It was my first time here and I loved it! The sun was shining and the water was very clear and you could swim out very far with a very wide open space between the shore and the buoys. No complaints at all; Fair Haven Beach is the best on Lake Ontario!
Very nice! Clear water. Clean. Garbage cans were a bit overflowing but that’s to be expected. Spent a few hours here and it was nice to float in the water without muck, mud or something gross touching my feet!
This was our first time camping as whole family of 6. it accommodated us very well with a new playground equipment. very clean and nice shower and bathroom near our tent camp.very nice sandy beach with lots of room. and very nice beach showers. I would highly recommend but look out for night time yogi the racoon. we left our cooler out to go brush our teeth and when we returned to camp about an half an hour. we were swiped of our turkey and cheese! there is poison ivy in the woods. bugs were not so bad maybe because we went in june. you can swim on the east beach at your own risk but west beach you have to wait for a life guard.
We had a great time at this beach. We went by 4 pm. It was relatively crowded. The people there were decent and mostly families with kids. The shower room and bathrooms were clean. Water was safe. A little mossy. But overall a great experience!
