Clove Lakes Park in Staten Island, New York, stands out as a beloved spot for dog owners and nature lovers alike. With its lush, well-maintained grassy areas, abundant shade from mature trees, and scenic walking trails, this park provides a tranquil retreat from city life. The space is welcoming to everyone, offering a safe, community-oriented environment that is pet-friendly, picnic-friendly, and great for strolling or light hiking with your pup.
Though some sections are currently under renovation, visitors still rave about the beautiful landscapes, wildlife spotting (including deer), and peaceful vibes. Public transportation is available, making it accessible for locals and visitors. While the park is perfect for peaceful walks with your dog and offers plenty of shade, it’s advised to bring your own water for both you and your pet, as water fountains are not always readily available, and to watch for minor trail repairs in progress. With no entrance fee and a friendly community, Clove Lakes Park is one of Staten Island’s most scenic, dog-friendly destinations.

A month playground is closed 😡 The road is being slowly repaired, which is why everything is closed. The road is being slowly repaired, which is why everything is closed. It feels like no one is working. Be careful! Terrible roads in the park, especially the descent from Royal oak road to clove park, a month ago I fell into a pit with my child. Fortunately, baby was not injured, otherwise they would have been suing the park for a very long time.

After 6 month of closing for reconstruction , guess what nothing changed in the playground, the same old equipments for kids , inside the playground holes and kids keep falling .
They just did a circle road is perfect for running , nothing else . Why the State doesn’t check it
The grass is definitely greener over here!!!! This is a park I could fall asleep in n not be worried…u only hear ducks and geese and other birds…people might be on their walks or jogging but that’s it..loved it …there’s no entrance fee or dress code….lots of shade under trees….walking paths lead out into backyards or even front yards so be careful….there’s not really any water fountains nearby so you’ll have to pack that stuff before hand (sunscreen too)(NEED DAT) ..
public transport is available to it as well and last but not least I’m BLACK….didn’t feel scared or paranoid seeing only white people in the woods😭 my husband and I were skeptic since it had minimal POC but they’re actually more mannerable that any of the other boroughs…they said good morning and good afternoon n smiled so that was good for me lol GO FOR A WALK MY PEOPLE BRING A PICNIC BASKET
Beautiful place for walk to play around a little hiking place close to nature and clean very good area for near neighborhoods and communities.
