Starkville Dog Park

Starkville Dog Park offers two separate fenced areas for dogs, catering to different sizes or temperaments, making it a great spot for dogs to socialize safely. The park features picnic tables, shaded areas, and agility training equipment. While it is wheelchair accessible and provides poop bags, the ground can get muddy, especially in wet weather, due to kiddie pools for dogs to play in. Visitors appreciate the friendly community and well-maintained facilities, though upkeep has declined somewhat in recent years.

Way better than the one in Oxford!! Our dogs had a great time and we’ll definitely be back. I would advise bringing a towel though because there’s three or four kiddie pools for them to play in and really no way to prevent them from getting wet….which my pups were elated about.
It’s pretty alright. It’s your standard dog park. Our dog personally enjoys when there’s all sorts of other dogs around. I was surprised how busy it got at the end of the day.
It’s a great place to bring your dog. They have two separate fenced in areas in case some dogs don’t get along. Do be mindful that the main area is often quite muddy even if it hasn’t rained because there are kiddie pools with water for dogs to play in. So, you may want to bring a towel.
Every city needs a dog park so I’m glad this one is here. People are friendly, clean up after their dogs and control their dogs if needed.
Been using this dog park for years. As always, you need to be careful when you bring your dog to an area with other dogs off leash, but I’ve had a generally good experience with other dogs/people. There’s 2 sides (big/small) but most people just use one. There are two tables, some shaded areas, some agility training fixtures, and they usually keep all the poop bags filled.
Edit: Not sure if its due to covid or a few years of me being away, but its not as kept up as it used to be. It’s still big/clear, but the ground can be muddy for several days surrounding rain (avoid the spring shower season).
