Spent the weekend there with friends and brought the kayaks. Cool little lake to get off the grid. Phones dont work out there so it was a perfect place to unwind from the rest of life. And the care takers are awesome people who really do care. Thanks for the good experience.
First impression it seemed like a nice place. Until we had so many issues getting into our campsite. Which we were #12 and have a 28″ travel trailer camper. There were so many obstacles to getting our camper into the spot it was ridiculous. The site mentioned it would fit but never what we had to get it in and out. The campsite post itself was placed in a horrible spot and there were trees that didn’t need to be there not to mention its right around a corner. This is not meant for a 28ft camper at all! And afterwards we heard the same complaints from previous campers abd campers that have camped there in the past. Maybe a very small camper or just a tent. Would not recommend it at all to anyone with one as big as ours. Also, no one seemed to care to follow any rules about 10 pm quiet time. Every night it was loud partying until 1 am.and later! It was exhausting and so annoying. It made for a really unenjoyable trip with disrespectful campers all around our site. We spent a lot of time in Stanley at Chapman Campgrounds away from our campsite even during the day due to it. We honestly didnt even want to be at the site at all. We did a lot of fishing at Chapman and the kids loved the playground area there too! Way more to do. The fishing at the park there was an awesome experience. We didn’t have any luck at Otter Lake campgrounds. Overall between the campground site being nearly impossible to park into, fishing wasn’t good and the disrespectful campers I gave the review a 2.
Nice campground, quite, with lots of tree shad. Has nice docks between campsites
Nice and quiet campground. Cell reception is virtually non existent which is phenomenal. So peaceful and all campsites are surrounded by a nice tree canopy. Firepits and tables are provided at all sites, some sites even have boat docks attached to them as well for I believe a few dollars more per night. Getting to your is easily navigated, even with larger campers. If you want some peace and quiet, this is the place. It also has flush toilets and wood for sale. All sites I believe are electric, they just added the flush toilets and showers recently. We had good success fishing out on the lake itself.
Nice county campground on good sized lake. Pit toilets and no showers, but you have electricity and access to fresh water. Nicely spaced sites. Good sized day park across the bay.
