Came across this little gem and what a clean and affordable place to camp! Spacious sites with or without full hookups. Very nice shower house and restrooms. A boat launch area to put in your boat in the river. A all around nice place to stay! The sites are NULL/ nite for full hookups. Will definitely be staying again!!!

This is a gem of a campground! It is a well-kept county park with beautiful on-going prairie restoration. It is on the Cedar River for canoeists, kayakers and fishing. The playground consists of a huge treehouse, hilly little bike paths, smoothed climbing logs, not a plastic playground piece to be found. Wonderful for the imagination! But, if you must have traditional equipment the city park, .5 miles away, has fantastic traditional equipment. The cap to the whole park is the man-made swimming pond with sandy bottom, waterfalls, etc. Perfect for all ages and all swimming abilities. The only negative I have is there are not many shady sites. There have been plenty of trees planted but those darn trees just take so long to grow! We booked in May for the last weekend of July not realizing that it was Staceyville’s Brat Daze. What a bonus! We have a 38′ DP.
